Through the Little Door is an illustrated narrative that follows a young girl’s impromptu adventure through time. Lola is 18, and is leaving home for the first time, bound for university. Whilst clearing out her bedroom, Lola discovers a strange hidden door. She is quickly compelled to push the limits of her own personal paradox. But how far is too far? Straddling several illustrative techniques, Through the Little Door acts simultaneously as a picture book, graphic novel and experimental narrated sketchbook. The story explores the themes of change, loss, and family, all communicated through soft, minimalistic imagery.
