Before design, I pursued my love for food and cooking with a course in commercial cookery. Had I continued down the culinary path my end goal, dream restaurant would have been Oso Padre — a Mexican restaurant whose name is taken from a translated version of my nickname ‘Papa Bear’. A modern take on the traditional Mexican Dia de los Muertos art style, Oso Padre’s brand identity is centred around the titular sugar bear skull, which is cast in black and gold to create a classy, recognisable and contemporary design.
