Welcome To My Layout is a database of amateur web templates, a tribute to the amateur web design community of the mid–2000s. These designers were enamored with web design and saw it as a medium for creative self-expression, prioritising form over content. Out of this community of enthusiasts arose a shared graphic language, which borrowed some elements from what might be considered mainstream graphic design and often invented its own.

Facilitated by processes of web and information design, Welcome To My Layout and the accompanying exegesis uncovered and quantified elements of the graphic language shared by the amateur designers.
